So, today I did a few special things while driving around! 1) I drove on Fair Oaks Blvd for a few minutes. It was my first "busy" street. It's nothing like Greenback or Hazel, but it was indeed busy. 2) I went on an actual errand type of thing, like a real trip with a real destination. I went from Leanne's house down Trajan to Central, to Beech, across Greenback to the Orangevale library. I even parked all by myself. 3) I parked all by myself in a real parking lot with other cars around! And it was pretty stinking near perfect! I didn't have to adjust or anything. It was great! 5) I created and drove my own route home from the Orangevale library. I went down Beech to Pershing, across Hazel, and down Pecan. 6) I had a passenger in the car who was not related to me and who was not teaching me. Ryan went with us to the library and so he got to see me drive. And he freaked out way more than was necessary. I think it actually calmed me down to have someone freaking out about my driving more than I was. Weird...is this how Wes, Sherry, and Emily feel when I work with them? They always say I'm relaxing when I am totally the opposite of that to myself. Something to think about... Yeah, so that was how my day of driving went. I'm starting to force myself to relax a little while driving and am finding it's more enjoyable than I first thought...or I'm getting addicted to the adrenaline. I can't tell which XD Posted via web from I Search For You On The Horizon

"Jesus said, "You're asking the wrong question. You're looking for someone to blame. There is no such cause-effect here. Look instead for what God can do. We need to be energetically at work for the One who sent me here, working while the sun shines." - John 9 (The Message) This was in reference to the people asking Jesus why a certain man was blind. He said basically that they were not seeing the whole picture and that there was more to that man's blindness than meets the eye. In this case, the man was blind so that Jesus could show his power through him. I look at my life now and I see things that I could easily blame on others. Things I have to deal with, things I have dealt with that come back to haunt me, things I don't want to deal with, and things that just seem unfair. Some of it even has distinct places I could lay the blame. I could say it's so-and-so's fault that this is happening or that I have to deal with that. But there might be more that I miss if I stop at the blame game. Another version of this verse says "It was not because of his sins or his parents’ sins," Jesus answered. "This happened so the power of God could be seen in him." (John 9:3 NLT). Maybe that's the point. Maybe I haven't been looking far enough before. Maybe the point was that God can take it all and show His power through it. Maybe that's the point of everything we, as Christians, go through. I think it is, because no matter if it was someone's sins that cause something, I don't want to miss out on allowing God to bring Himself glory through EVERY part of my life, the good and the bad. I know He can. Posted via web from I Search For You On The Horizon

I love this song. "Safe" by Natalie Grant
Safe by Natalie Grant How did you know That I'm all alone today? Oh, I feel so scared And I wanna go away I bleed so deep underneath My soul is screaming I'm not gonna hide I'm not gonna run away I'll uncover the scars And show You every mistake Your Love is mending my blisters And the bruising shame Here with You, I am safe Drowning the tears Won't make it go away It's robbing my soul So I'm taking this mask Off my face, yeah To discover love and uncover all it means To live and breathe I'm not gonna hide I'm not gonna run away I'll uncover the scars And show You every mistake Your Love is mending my blisters And the bruising shame Here with You, I am safe, I am safe I am safe, I am safe When You uncovered, I discovered I am not afraid But when we're hiding We end up fighting To be sane Yeah! I'm not gonna hide I'm not gonna run away I'll uncover the scars And show You every mistake Your Love is mending my blisters And my bruising shame Here with You, I am safe, I am safe I am safe, I am safe I am safe Posted via web from I Search For You On The Horizon

I just heard about this song from Wes, and I think it's going to be a favorite of mine! I love it! Sorry about the bad audio quality, this is the best I could find. "Smellin' Coffee" by Chris Rice
Smellin' Coffee by Chris Rice Last thing I remember Sayin' bye to yesterday Glad to see it over Pullin' covers over my head But what were You doin' While I dreamt the night away? 'Cause I can tell that something's different And my eyes ain't even open yet I'm smellin' coffee Birds are singin' just outside Here comes Your mercy Streamin' in with the mornin' light My heart's a racin' Wakin' up to Your smile And it's a good mornin' It's a good mornin' I remember readin' You're the God who never sleeps And while I've been dreamin' You've been singin' over me Singin' about my freedom Wakin' me up to hear Your song Now I can't dance hard enough 'Cause yesterday is gone, gone, gone! I'm smellin' coffee Birds are singin' just outside Here comes Your mercy Streamin' in with the mornin' light My heart's a racin' Wakin' up to Your smile And it's a good mornin' It's a good mornin' Every little breath and heartbeat Is a gift of love that You give to me You keep givin' even when I sleep 'Cause I know You never stop watchin' over me I wake up, my past is gone 'Cause Your mercy's new with the mornin' sun I'm forgiven, I'm free, it's a brand new day 'Cause Your faithfulness is the greatest, hey! I'm smellin' coffee Birds are singin' just outside Here comes Your mercy Streamin' in with the mornin' light My heart's a racin' Wakin' up to Your smile I'm smellin' coffee Birds are singin' just outside Here comes Your mercy Streamin' in with the mornin' light My heart's a racin' Wakin' up to Your smile And it's a good mornin' It's a good mornin' Good mornin' It's a good mornin' Good mornin' (It's a gift of love that You give to me) Good mornin' (I know You never stop watchin' over me) Good mornin' (I wake up, my past is gone Your mercy's new with the mornin' sun) Good mornin' (I'm forgiven, I'm free, it's a brand new day 'Cause Your faithfulness is the greatest, hey!) "For the Moments I Feel Faint" by Relient K
For the Moments I Feel Faint by Relient K Am I at the point Of no improvement? What of the death I still dwell in? I try to excel But I feel no movement Can I be free Of this unreleasable sin? Never underestimate my Jesus You're telling me that there's no hope I'm telling you you're wrong Never underestimate my Jesus When the world around you crumbles He will be strong, He will be strong I throw up my hands Oh, the impossibilities Frustrated and tired Where do I go from here? Now I'm searching for The confidence I've lost so willingly Overcoming these obstacles Is overcoming my fears Never underestimate my Jesus You're telling me that there's no hope I'm telling you you're wrong Never underestimate my Jesus When the world around you crumbles He will be strong, He will be strong I think I can't, I think I can't But I think You can, I think You can I think I can't, I think I can't But I think You can, I think You can Gather my insufficiencies and Place them in Your hands Place them in Your hands Place them in Your hands Never underestimate my Jesus You're telling me that there's no hope I'm telling you you're wrong Never underestimate my Jesus When the world around you crumbles He will be strong Never underestimate my Jesus You're telling me that there's no hope I'm telling you you're wrong Never underestimate my Jesus When the world around you crumbles He will be strong, He will be strong He will be strong He will be strong He will be strong Posted via web from I Search For You On The Horizon

Tears that refuse to fall, cries that refuse to be heard, prayers that refuse to be prayed, songs that refuse to be sung, rest that refuses to relieve, pain that refuses to be comforted, love that refuses to be felt, darkness that refuses to abate, expectations that refuse to bring excitement, truth that refuses to break through, cold that refuses to be warmed, light that refuses to shine, joy that refuses to bring a smile, faith that refuses to bring hope... And I have to keep living... Posted via web from I Search For You On The Horizon

He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding. He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youth will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion, but those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:28-31) Posted via web from I Search For You On The Horizon
